Aquatic Plants at Eagle Lake

Eagle Lake contains numerous species of native aquatic plants which help the overall function of the lake ecosystem. However, invasive species such as Eurasian Water Milfoil & Curly Leaf Pondweed tend to dominate most years.

Unfortunately, do due large recreational boating in Wisconsin, invasive species of aquatic plants easily spread from lake to lake. Help us maintain Eagle Lake by cleaning your boat, trailer and live well upon leaving or entering to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. See our Clean Boats Clean Water page to learn more about what the ELMD do to prevent the spread of invasive species of aquatic plants.
